All guest rooms and apartments consist of one or two rooms including one bedroom and a separate living room. They are equipped with TV, small kitchenette, modern bathroom with shower, and balcony or terrace.

At our restaurant "Mühlenstube" we offer German as well as international dishes.

The region offers various indoor and outdoor activities: In approx. 10 walking minutes you reach facilities for horseback-riding, tennis, bowling, golf or squash. Farther away you find the wild animal park, the castle and the city of Wernigerode, various stores, the indoor adventure bath in Hasserode, and the Harz Railway with direct access to Mount Brocken. Enjoy the rich choice of activities – whether golf, skiing or anything else.

Apartment-hotel “Alte Waldmühle” is located in a quiet area directly in the Harz Mountains. It offers recently refurbished apartments in a park environment, with Finnish sauna, pond and brook. Free parking is at our guests’ disposal; access to public transportation is directly at the hotel.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds. Baby cots are not available. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. € 1.80 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. Internet: No internet access available. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.
